- Actually, the Liberals and Conservatives agreed in the '70's to close the booby hatches. The Liberals thought they diminished human rights, and the Conservatives thought they cost too much. Proving once again that when Democrats and Republicans agree on anything (e.g., NAFTA) -- Watch Out!!
